Small Groups are integral to the ministry of Branch Life. It is through weekly gatherings of small groups that individuals become connected in real, tangible ways to members of the body and by which we all participate in the building up of Christ’s church. We see a particular model for the community of Christ in Acts 2:42-47 in which believers devoted themselves to four specific things: Teaching, Fellowship, Breaking Bread, and Prayer. In doing so, the Spirit unified them and caused them to be a blessing to their neighbors. This is the same model we seek to emulate in our small groups. Throughout the week our members meet in homes all over the city to discuss the sermon from the previous Sunday, pray for one another, share in each other’s lives, and enjoy meals together. Small Groups are also great avenues for non-members to experience the life of the church and meet new people.
We currently have four Small Groups that meet weekly in and around Metro Birmingham. Contact any one of our group leaders for more information about getting plugged in:
- Hueytown Group- led by Clint Collins.
- Homewood Group – led by Sam Boyers.
- Southside B’ham Group – led by Micah Loggins and Doug Barnwell.
- Gardendale Group – led by Heath McPherson
